Nem kiz�rt, hogy csak az�rt nem tal�ltam semmif�le utal�st a „Lacrimosa” szerz�s�g�re, mert az egy�bk�nt gy�ny�r� kivitel� (�m ann�l s�r�l�kenyebb) bor�t�k�nyvecske k�s�r�sz�veg�t t�ls�gosan apr� bet�vel nyomt�k, de sem a dal sz�veg�n�l (ami az�rt a sokat sejtet� „Lacrymosa” c�met viseli), sem a szerzem�nyek alkot�inak felsorol�sa, sem a k�sz�netnyilv�n�t�sok k�z�tt nem tal�lkoztam Mozart nev�vel.

Az �j albumot egy�bk�nt meglehet�sen vegyes �rzelmekkel v�rtam. Az Amy melletti m�sik alap�t� tag, Ben Moody t�voz�sa balj�s el�jelnek hatott, a zenei elszeg�nyesed�s �rnyait vetette el�re.
�s val�ban, a most kiadott anyag sokkalta homog�nebb a kor�bbin�l. Tal�n a nu-metal elem a kevesebb benne, tal�n egyfajta elemi v�ltozatoss�g hi�nya r�hat� fel Amy Lee-�knek, de els� hall�sra ak�r visszafogottabban �tletgazdagnak, stil�risan kiss� egyhang�nak is titul�lhatn�nk a lemezt. �m kiz�r�lag els� hall�sra.

Ahogy megismerj�k a sz�mokat, kit�rulkozik el�tt�nk bels� gazdags�guk, s p�ratlan sz�ps�g�k.
Amy nem hazudtolta meg mag�t, s ez�ttal is finom, ezzel egy�tt nyers �s d�g�s n�t�kat �rt, melyek n�hol keleties sk�l�ikkal („Sweet Sacrifice”), �s mindig azonnal megragad�, m�lt�s�gteljes harm�ni�kb�l kibontott t�m�ikkal („Cloud Nine”, „Like You”) ugyanabba a vonulatba tartoznak, amelyet m�r a Fallen, az els� nagy kiad�n�l megjelent album is k�pviselt.
G�tikus, a zongora dominanci�ja r�v�n eg�szen k�l�nleges, operai-szimfonikus nu-metal ez, melynek egyetlen m�s, rokon lelk�let� egy�ttes�hez sem hasonl�that� cizell�lts�g�t a n�i �nek csak m�g jobban kiemeli.

Az Evanescence nem Nightwish vagy Within Temptation. Ugyan rengeteg k�zt�k a p�rhuzam, m�gis mindegyik a maga egy�ni �tj�t j�rja, melyek mindegyike �rv�nyes, saj�tlagos �zenettel sz�l�tja meg a k�z�ns�g�t, ugyanakkor nem z�rj�k ki k�lcs�n�sen egym�st, �s egym�s epigonjainak sem mondhat�k.

A The Open Door pedig nagyszer�, eg�szen remek�l �sszehozott album, mely tal�n nem b�ntet, mint egy Napalm Death vagy Children Of Bodom lemez, de milli�szor meghallgathat� (ak�rcsak aktu�lis kedvencem, a hihetetlen�l j�l kidolgozott �s invenci�zus „Your Star”), �s minden meghallgat�ssal egyre t�bbet ad.
